Privacy Policy

1. Privacy summary

SmartVisage does not create face identities or face templates and does not perform stranger recognition, medical diagnosis, or appearance scoring. The basic mirror does not require an account.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the SmartVisage apps for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS provided by MPP Apps, together with related support pages. Other MPP Apps products have their own privacy policies.

3. Data handled by SmartVisage

Camera frames, face geometry, and visual analysis

Live camera frames, frozen frames, face positioning, landmark coordinates, image-quality results, and person-segmentation masks are processed in device memory. They are generally replaced or cleared by the next frame, unfreezing, disabling the feature, backgrounding the app, or ending the app. This data is not uploaded to the SmartVisage backend.

Photos, creations, and local history

Photos are added to the system photo library only when you explicitly choose to save them. Reference looks, effects, before-and-after creations, thumbnails, and Photo Booth creations are stored in local Application Support only when you choose to keep them. SmartVisage does not upload these images to its own backend.

Microphone and speech

When you enable voice controls, SmartVisage uses the microphone and Apple Speech framework to recognize operation commands. SmartVisage does not retain raw audio. Current command text is held temporarily in memory and cleared after listening stops. Apple Speech may use Apple services depending on your system settings.

Settings, diagnostics, and Apple Watch

App settings are stored in UserDefaults on your device. Non-sensitive errors and performance counters may be retained temporarily under Apple's system logging policies. Apple Watch exchanges only control commands and brief status—it does not receive, store, or stream camera imagery.

Installation identifier and device information

When MPP App Manager configuration is enabled, the app creates a random installation GUID stored in Keychain. It sends a protected representation of that identifier to MPP registration services, together with app version, operating-system version, locale, time zone, language, screen information, and necessary hardware summaries, to receive feature availability and app configuration. MPP servers store a protected digest rather than the raw installation GUID.

Website messages

When you choose to use the message form, we retain the name, email, product, category, message, language, and creation time you provide to handle and reply to your request. To reduce abuse, the system temporarily stores a one-way rate-limit hash derived from the IP address and browser identifier. The raw IP address and browser identifier are not written to the message table, and rate-limit records are cleaned up regularly.

4. Advertising and third-party services

Production builds may include Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads can appear only when MPP remote policy allows them, required configuration is complete, and applicable UMP consent conditions are also satisfied. Under their policies, third-party SDKs may process coarse location, device identifiers, product interaction, advertising data, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic or device information.

SmartVisage does not pass camera frames, photos, face data, appearance results, local history, or voice commands to the advertising layer. Advertising consent is separate from any consent concerning camera use, face data, cloud media, or model improvement.

5. Purposes

• Provide the live mirror, capture, on-device guidance, and effects you choose.
• Keep your settings and creations you explicitly save.
• Retrieve applicable feature configuration, maintain service security, and diagnose non-sensitive errors.
• Provide advertising when policy and consent conditions allow it.

6. Retention, deletion, and your choices

• Live frames and analysis results generally exist only in device memory.
• You manage and delete photos in the system library through Photos.
• Local history can be deleted individually, in batches, or entirely in SmartVisage; related thumbnails and effect files are removed with it.
• You can disable camera guidance, voice, gestures, and related permissions in SmartVisage or system Settings.
• When required by UMP, you can manage advertising consent through the SmartVisage privacy center.
• Removing the app deletes ordinary app-container data. Some Keychain data may persist according to Apple platform behavior.

7. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including data minimization, on-device processing, explicit saving, protected installation identifiers, and separation of camera and appearance data from advertising. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children, international processing, and changes

SmartVisage is not specifically directed to children and does not provide social networking, chat, or public user content. Third-party providers may process data in regions where they operate. If this policy changes materially, we will update the version and date on this page and provide in-app notice or renewed consent when required by law or platform rules.
