Getting started
The first launch begins with a data-use summary, followed by your choice to allow camera access. The basic mirror does not require an account. A captured photo is added to Photos only after you choose to save it.

Used for the live mirror, on-device visual analysis, and explicit capture.
Add to Photos
Used only when you explicitly save a photo. SmartVisage does not request access to read your complete photo library.
Microphone and speech recognition
Used only when you enable hands-free voice controls, and can be disabled in the app or system Settings.
Frequently asked questions
Why does SmartVisage need camera access?
Camera access powers the live mirror, capture, and any on-device visual guidance you choose to enable. SmartVisage cannot access the camera when permission is denied.
Does SmartVisage upload my photos?
No. Camera frames, photos, face geometry, and appearance-analysis results are not uploaded to the SmartVisage backend. Creations remain only when you explicitly save them to your device or Photos.
Why was my photo not saved?
Check that SmartVisage has permission to add photos in system Settings. The app requests add-only access and does not need to read your full photo library.
Does voice control save recordings?
SmartVisage does not retain raw audio. Speech recognition may use Apple services depending on your system settings. The current command text is cleared from app memory after listening stops.
Does Apple Watch receive the camera image?
No. Apple Watch sends control commands and receives brief status only. It does not store, receive, or stream camera imagery.
How do I delete local creations?
Delete individual or all creations from local history in SmartVisage. Photos saved to the system library must be removed in Photos. Related thumbnails and effect files are cleaned up with each deleted creation.
When is Android coming?
Android is on the future roadmap, but no release date has been announced. SmartVisage is coming first to iPhone and iPad.
